FieldSync Pro

Field service management: it works without a connection and syncs by itself when the network comes back.

  • Flutter
  • Isar
  • Riverpod
  • Clean Architecture
  • Node.js

The problem

People working on building sites, in basements or in areas with poor coverage can't depend on the network. An app that freezes without internet wastes time and, worse, data: jobs must be recorded at the moment they happen.

The solution

FieldSync Pro is an app (mobile and web) with an offline-first architecture: every operation is saved first in a local Isar database and then synced with the server, push and pull, as soon as a connection is available. The code follows Clean Architecture (domain, data, presentation) with Riverpod for state, so every part is replaceable and testable. To build and try the sync I also wrote a small Node.js server with a REST API. The web demo uses an in-memory database instead of Isar, which is not suited to the browser.

What it does

  • Create, edit and delete jobs, even offline
  • Automatic sync and pull-to-refresh, with visual feedback while it runs
  • Priority and status with dynamic colours, plus a progress bar
  • Technician assignment and due date
  • Search and filters by customer, status and tag
  • Swipe-to-delete with confirmation, to avoid mistakes on the move

What it shows

I can design an app that holds up in the real world: reliable local data, two-way sync and a clean architecture that stays maintainable as the project grows.

Next steps

  • Push notifications for deadlines and updates
  • Advanced sync conflict handling
  • Reports and statistics with charts
  • Data export/import in JSON and CSV
  • Automated tests and CI/CD pipeline
